It’s the Pensioners Christmas Tea Party

On Sunday 30 November, Watford Rotary welcomed around 70 guests to the annual Pensioners’ Christmas Tea, held at the Clitheroe Centre. The afternoon was filled with festive spirit, fantastic entertainment, and the warm sense of community that makes this event a highlight of our Rotary year.

Guests enjoyed a delicious seasonal tea, beautifully prepared and supplied by West Herts College, whose support helped make the occasion extra special. The room came alive with music from the Bushey and District Jazz Ensemble, whose lively performances had several of our pensioners up and “boogying down” on the dance floor.

Adding to the festive cheer, Santa himself made a surprise visit, handing out boxes of chocolates and biscuits generously donated by Morrisons. The smiles—and the sweets—were plentiful, creating magical moments for everyone in attendance.

A truly wonderful time was had by all, thanks to the efforts of our volunteers, partners, performers, and the generosity of local supporters. Watford Rotary is proud to bring our community together in celebration and fellowship, especially at this special time of year.
